​EMANCIPATE

We are Emancipate. We consider ourselves to come under the very broad spectrum of alternative and experimental music. Our main influences are bands and artists like Radiohead, Tool, Jon Gomm, Rade Against the Machine, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, altough we could have named many, many more.

 

We formed in 2013, but instead of it being rushed and someone just suggesting 'hey let's form a band', we seemed to ease ourselves into it, going completely at our own pace and only began when we were ready, which is different to any other projects any of us have ever been involved in.

 

We consist of five members who all have largely rotatable roles, although we all have our main preferences.
